Awards Ceremony for the 2nd Manga Contest for the Prevention of Gender Violence

On December 4th, at the residence of the ambassador of Japan, the awards ceremony for the “Second National Competition for the Prevention of Gender Violence” was held. The competition was organized by the Embassy of Japan, the Ministry of Women and Gender Equity, and the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile.

The competition jury consisted of Chilean manga artists Rowein and Alpaca, former Japanese Ambassador to Chile Takako Ito, a team from the Pontifical Catholic University comprised of professors Camila Gutiérrez and Marcelo González, and the head of the Gender Equity Office, Pilar Bontá.

At the awards ceremony, Minister Orellana, Vice-Rector Montt, and Ambassador Sone presented the awards to the young artists: Sara López, Francisca Paredes, Angelina Alarcón, Ignacia Bustamante, Ignacio Gamboa, and Felipe Lizama.
